Every 20 projects triggers a drawing
When 20 projects are approved, one entry is drawn at random from all entries in the pool. Every entry has the same odds — some actions simply earn more entries than others.
One homeowner wins $500
The winner receives $500 in local business cash. The cycle resets immediately and opens for the next round.

Do I have to pay anything?
No. Creating an account and entering the drawing is completely free.
How do I earn entries?
There are five ways to get entries into the current drawing cycle: (1) submit an approved home improvement project — +3 entries (also advances the cycle), (2) complete a verified job through MI Home Hub — +2 entries, (3) leave a review on MI Home Hub — +1 entry, (4) refer a neighbor who creates an account — +1 entry, or (5) submit a free entry using the form on this page — +1 entry. Earned actions are capped at 8 entries per person per cycle; the free entry is not counted against that cap.
Do I need a project to enter?
No. Free entries go into the same pool with the same per-entry odds. Projects simply earn more entries — 3 per approved project — so they increase your chances more than other actions.
Do reviews on Google count?
No. Only reviews left directly on MI Home Hub earn drawing entries.
How is the winner chosen?
When the cycle reaches 20 approved projects, one entry is drawn at random from all entries in the pool. Every entry has the same odds — project entries, action-earned entries, and free entries are all equal in the draw. Some actions simply earn more entries, which increases your chances. The cycle resets immediately after.
How long does a free entry stay active?
Free entries carry forward to every future drawing cycle until you win or ask to be removed. You only need to enter once. Earned entries (job, review, referral, project) apply to the cycle in which they were earned and do not carry forward.
How do I know when a project is "approved"?
Our team reviews each submission. Approved projects appear in the Project Showcase, count toward the cycle total, and earn you 3 entries. You'll receive an email confirmation when yours is approved.
When and how are winners announced?
Winners are announced on this page and notified by email. If you win, we'll reach out within a few days to coordinate prize delivery.
