The House Fund — Official Rules

1. Sponsor

The House Fund is sponsored by MI Home Hub. Contact information and full sponsor details will be published here.

2. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of Michigan who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of MI Home Hub and their immediate family members are not eligible.

3. How to Enter

There are five ways to enter. Every entry is worth one (1) entry, however it was earned, and every entry has the same chance of being drawn.

• Approved project (1 entry per approved project, up to 2 per household per cycle): Submit a home improvement project to the MI Home Hub Project Showcase at mihomehub.com/projects/submit. MI Home Hub staff review each submission against a published standard: the work was done by a pro selected from the MI Home Hub directory, it includes at least one photo of the completed work, it was completed within the last 12 months, and it does not duplicate an existing approved project. When a project is approved, 1 entry is created for the drawing cycle then open.
• Home profile (1 entry, once per account): Complete your home profile with a validated address, the year the home was built, and at least three home systems.
• Refer a neighbor (1 entry per qualifying referral, up to 2 per household per cycle): A referral qualifies when the person you referred creates an account at a different address, completes their home profile, and their account is at least seven days old.
• Seasonal home checklist (1 entry, once per cycle): Mark every item on the current season’s home checklist (Hubbie’s list for the season) as done. An item that doesn’t apply to your house can be marked “Doesn’t apply to my house” instead, and counts as complete.
• Free entry (1 entry): Complete the free entry form at mihomehub.com/drawing (also available at mihomehub.com/housefund and mihomehub.com/drawing/free-entry) and confirm the email address provided by clicking the link sent to it. No purchase or account is necessary. An entry counts only once it is confirmed. One free entry per person. A confirmed free entry carries forward to every future drawing cycle until that person wins or asks to be removed; there is no need to enter again, and a second free entry from the same person is not added.

Entries from a project, the home profile, a referral, or the seasonal checklist require a free MI Home Hub account with a home address MI Home Hub has validated as inside its Mid-Michigan service area, with one eligible account per address. They apply only to the drawing cycle in which they are earned and do not carry forward. Duplicate entries will be removed.

4. Drawing Cycles

Entries accumulate within a drawing cycle. A cycle remains open until 20 project submissions reach approved status. When the 20th project is approved, the cycle closes and a drawing is conducted. A new cycle opens immediately. Cycles are identified by sequential number (Cycle 1, Cycle 2, and so on). There is no calendar deadline or monthly close.

The drawing. One entry is selected at random from all entries in the cycle’s pool: every entry earned in that cycle, plus every confirmed free entry carried forward from earlier cycles. Each entry counts once and has the same chance of selection. A person who has won a House Fund drawing in the previous 12 months is not selected unless every entry in the pool belongs to such a person. Entries from households MI Home Hub has determined to be ineligible are excluded.

5. Prize

One winner per drawing cycle receives the prize package described above. Prize is non-transferable and has no cash equivalent other than as stated. MI Home Hub reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

6. Winner Notification and Verification

The drawn winner will be contacted via the email address provided at the time of entry. If a winner cannot be reached within seven days, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

Before the prize can be paid, the winner must complete three verification items:

• Signed affidavit of eligibility and liability release.
• Government-issued photo identification.
• Signed media release authorizing MI Home Hub to use the winner's name, city, and project in promotional materials.

All three items must be received within seven days of notification. If any item is not received within the seven-day window, the prize is forfeited and an alternate winner is selected.

7. Winner Display

Winners are displayed on the House Fund page as first name, last initial, and city. Full names and street addresses are never published. Each winner entry links to the project that earned the entry and to the pro business that did the work. Winner details are displayed only after the media release has been signed.

8. Privacy

Personal information collected for entry purposes is used only to administer the drawing and contact winners. It will not be sold or shared with third parties except as required by law.

9. General Conditions

MI Home Hub reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the drawing at any time. Void where prohibited. These rules are subject to change; the current version is always available at this URL.
